Gold: published research is overwhelmingly bullish, with just one tactical dissent.
The most expansive bullish case in this week's research argues that accelerating fiat currency debasement across G7 economies will push gold materially higher, supported by ongoing central bank buying and gold reclaiming a monetary role. A separate strand of analysis frames gold as a core strategic holding inside a broader commodity supercycle driven by sticky inflation and years of underinvestment. Another view leans on financial insecurity and safe-haven demand, while flagging near-term dollar strength as a drag.
The lone bearish voice is explicitly tactical: some recently published analysis warns that firmer Fed rate-hike expectations, rising Treasury yields, and stronger US data are headwinds for a non-yielding asset in the short run.
The apparent split is really a horizon mismatch. The cautious call is about the next few months; the bullish cases are anchored in multi-year themes. On long-term drivers, there's no real counter-thesis on offer.
