Bitcoin's research consensus is tilting bullish — but there's a real split on timing.
One camp of analysts argues the bottoming process will be slow and patient. In their view, the upside comes once a positive liquidity impulse hits the "debasement" phase, with a full recovery potentially taking 6–12 months. Until then, they expect repeated leverage-driven pops and washouts, and they're staying on the sidelines — citing heavy IPO supply, AI capex strain, widening credit spreads, a Fed that markets are now pricing for a hike, plus regulatory and US midterm overhangs.
A more constructive thread of recent research is already long, arguing the downtrend is done. The case is technical: price broke the May swing high near $82,000, flipping structure from lower lows and lower highs into higher highs, with clean stair-stepping impulse and correction legs and four-year cycle support holding after the cycle low. The published view here is to be patient and play the long game.
Different clocks, same direction — a slower liquidity-driven recovery versus a structure that researchers say has already turned.
